At Gnomon, we believe that great software is about more than just code. It’s about people, partnership, and purpose. Our core values guide every project and every decision, ensuring we deliver solutions that truly serve your business.
Our discovery process lays the groundwork for every project by aligning goals, defining priorities, and building shared understanding. Together, we create a roadmap that sets your software up for success.
Introduce stakeholders and the discovery team. Review the discovery schedule, cadence, and set clear expectations.
Our Business Analyst conducts interviews to extract your key needs. We listen closely to your terminology to create a shared glossary and define your custom solution’s core values.

Within 4 to 5 days after kickoff, we review and prioritize the MVP features alongside wireframing. We present the MVP plan to you for feedback.
We gather all remaining features and ideas not included in the MVP, prioritize them based on impact, effort, and alignment with your long-term goals, and create a prioritized product backlog.
We review the high-level wireframes with stakeholders to ensure alignment and gather feedback.
Internally, the Gnomon team reviews requirements, timelines, and budget to develop 1 to 3 viable project options. Each option includes high-level time and cost estimates to support decision-making.
We present and review the recommended project options with stakeholders, explaining feasibility, value, and alignment.
We create a strategic project roadmap for the selected option to guide development.
Meet with stakeholders to finalize the project plan. Sign the Statement of Work and schedule the project kickoff.
Our discovery process is the foundation of every successful project we take on. It is more than just a kickoff. By spending time upfront to align expectations, define priorities, and clarify requirements we reduce risks and create a clear path forward.
This process benefits you by building transparency and shared understanding between your team and ours. It makes sure every decision is based on real insights and that solutions are tailored exactly to your needs. Through detailed interviews, collaborative workshops, and clear documentation, we capture what matters most and turn it into strong actionable plans.
At the end of discovery, you will have a well-defined roadmap, prioritized features, and wireframes that bring your ideas to life visually. This clarity helps you make informed decisions about scope, budget, and timeline and gives you confidence to move forward. Ultimately our discovery process saves time, avoids costly misunderstandings, and delivers software that creates real value for your business.
